Zambia return to Gabon Heroes

An emotional story that will be told and re-told forever. 20 years after the entire Zambian team perished in an airplane accident off the coast of Libreville, Herve Renard led Zambia to its first ever AFCON win in the very same city. As the Chipolopolo advanced throughout the tournament the story continued to build, and the crescendo was during the penalty shoot-outs when centre-half Stoppila Sunzu chanted an elegiac tune as he dispatched the winning penalty.
