Senior investment officer at Washington D.C.-based Pan African Capital Group (PACG), Stephen Murray elaborates on the firm’s work in investment planning and advisement. “The average person unfortunately knows very little about Africa. Most people perceive Africa as a continent of war or famine, and these are outdated images of Africa,” Murray said.
“The investments in Africa need to really focus on building that aspirational middle class — people who want good jobs, people who want to send their kids to school,” he added, noting diaspora challenges which extend into business and investment.
