Taarabt played for AC Milan on loan from QPR in 2014, and did well, but his loan deal was not extended. The 26-year-old would do well to pull up his socks and show his full potential at Benfica, if the move materialises.

The former Cote D’Ivoire captain has dismissed the possibility of playing for another English side, due to his love for the Blues of London, but admitted to having received a few offers after announcing his departure from Chelsea. Drogba mentioned that a move to a a Major League Soccer (MLS) club in the US is a possibility that he will certainly be keen to consider.

The Serie A club would need to receive an impressive offer to even consider letting go of the skilful 28-year-old, who is still tied to the club for three more years on his current contract, but according to France Football the gulf side is more than ready to fulfil any demands from the Italian capital, and a high value offer may convince all parties concerned.

His Serie A team look likely to offload him during the off-season, and according to reports in Italy the player and his representation are considering the blue half of Merseyside as a viable option. A disappointing season with the Rossoneri has seen the Ghanaian kept on the fringes of the struggling club. He has been linked with potential transfers to West Ham, Everton and Hull City of late, while MLS side New York Red Bulls have also shown serious interest.
