No. 10 on our list has just 939 followers — that’s how few people tweet in Mozambique. Basilio Muhate is an economist and politician and tweets in Portuguese on a variety of subjects — sometimes he asks questions of his fans, other times he talks politics.
The DJ, producer and Big Brother Africa star is No. 9 on our list with around 1,300 followers. Here’s a recent tweet:

A news feed that also maintains a Facebook page is No. 7 on the list with around 1,900 followers. Tweets are in Portuguese and English:

An expat information portal, Club Mozambique’s website description is in English, but the tweets alternate between English and Portuguese:

Mozambique’s president hasn’t bothered to tweet since 2012, but he still manages to rank No. 5 on this list with some 2,000 followers.
The arts and music awards event comes in No. 4 on this list with nearly 2,900 followers. The website tweets pretty frequently about music events in the country and around the world. Tweets are always in Portuguese.
The Mozambique branch of the international relief organization is one of the most-followed Twitter handles in Mozambique. Although the description is in Portuguese, the tweets are often in English:

Strangely enough, the second most-followed Twitter account in all of Mozambique belongs to the U.S. Embassy, which has just more than 4,000 followers and tweets in English and Portuguese:
