How All-Inclusive Networks Support Food Industry Sustainability [Part 3 of 3]


 

Global food marketing firm Talier Trading Group has long ago expanded to servicing Africa’s emerging markets. However, the company is still focused on nurturing the developmental and cultural aspects of the continent’s food offerings. Managing director Jim Thaller sat down to speak with AFKInsider about the company’s transition. In the final segment of the interview, Thaller speaks on his connection to the World Bank’s agribusiness initiatives as well as food industry sustainability.

“The World Bank’s Info Dev program — which is based in Washington — a few years ago launched the agribusiness innovation program, which I’m involved in,” he said. “We wanted to start something that focused on entrepreneurial development, specifically in value added food processing…One of the things that is unique about the program is it’s extremely private sector and market oriented.”
