A mixture between big cats and small cats, the clouded leopard is one of the most beautiful and distinctive cats from the Himalayas. This spring, after a big struggle, the Denver Zoo became the home of two clouded leopard cubs. Pi and Rhu’s birth was difficult. Their mother had trouble taking care of them, but they’ve made it and now are getting used to their new life step by step.
A cute Humboldt penguin chick was born at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago after its egg was laid at the Columbus Zoo. The parents were unable to incubate it at the Columbus Zoo due to an Arctic wind that swept through Ohio, so the endangered penguin had to be relocated. The baby penguin is well now in its new foster home.
