Eunice Omole Talks Start-Up Fundraising, Continued Investor Support [Part 2 of 3]

Eunice Omole, a freelance business consultant and former contender on Apprentice Africa, shares her insight on starting a business from the ground up in Nigeria. In part two of the interview, Omole talks about fundraising, planning in conjunction with financial resources and convincing investors to support a start-up. She also elaborates business plan stages and using round funding wisely.

“Fundraising anywhere is difficult. You’re convincing people to part with their money. Let’s say your business plan needs two million dollars to get your idea off the ground. You’re not going to get one million dollars off the top — you may just get $50,000 as a first round,” she said.

“It’s how you use that money. It helps you figure out [if] you really need one million or two million dollars. Have you looked at all your resources and people in your network?”
