Did New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady say the “N” word? There’s video footage of Brady saying something that could be construed as the “N” word, but the audio isn’t great.

In video footage aired on NBC, Tom Brady ran into former NFL player Ed Reed in the tunnel before heading to the field. Brady went to hug Reed, and Brady can be heard saying, “Oh man! They had to bring you here!”

However, some on social media are convinced Brady said the N-word, Breaking 911 reported.

But the last part of his greeting to Reed was actually: “They know you’re my Kryptonite and they’ve got to bring you back.”

However, as the closed captioning showed, this isn’t what Brady actually uttered. In fact, the full statement was “They know you’re my Kryptonite, and they’ve got to bring you back.”

“Interestingly enough, the reactions were split on whether or not Brady used the racist term. Some viewers clearly heard the N-word while others knew that the Patriots QB is innocent. In reality, the combination of ‘Kryptonite’ and ‘and they’ve’ quickly said together is what caused many to hear this word,” Pop Culture reported.

Still, many people believed he had uttered a racial slur. As one person tweeted: “I am not tripping, Tom Brady said the n-word on live tv. heard something like ‘come here my kryptonite n***’ to Ed Reed.”
