President Donald Trump can’t seem to stop coming for his predecessor Barack Obama. Last week while speaking to media in the Oval Office, Trump said Obama’s book deal should be investigated, reported Talking Points Memo.

“I think it’s a disgrace,” Trump said in response to a question about House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadle’s implication the panel would sue to enforce a subpoena against former White House counsel Don McGahn, reported The Hill.

“We want to find out what happened with the last Democrat president. Let’s look into Obama the way they’ve looked into me. From day one they’ve looked into everything that we’ve done. They could look into the book deal that President Obama made. Let’s subpoena all of his records.”

Jamarlin talks to Travis Holoway, founder and CEO of SoLo Funds, a startup focused on peer-to-peer lending. They discuss Mark Zuckerberg as a liberal tech version of Donald Trump, Jake Tapper’s double standards on CNN towards Black leaders, and whether Silicon Valley has “negro helpers” who set the community back.

In their joint book deal, Barack and wife Michelle Obama, reportedly got over a $65 million advance for their memoirs from Penguin Random House, according to Vox. It was a record-breaking book deal, higher than any other presidential couple in history.

Though it’s unclear what Obama has to do with anything or why Trump keeps bringing him up, some of his motivation likely stems from Democrats’ renewed calls for investigations into obstruction of justice and abuse of power claims after Robert Mueller’s testimony last week.

Some have even renewed their sense of urgency to impeach Trump. Since Obama cannot run for another term, it’s unclear why Trump continues to target him.
