President Donald Trump is drawing comparisons between him and former President Barack Obama again. And this time it’s about being bested by his predecessor on Twitter.

A recent closed-door meeting Trump had with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was supposed to cover “the health of the public conversation …,” reported Motherboard. However, Trump used it as an opportunity to complain about his loss of followers. Sources say he has a gripe that Obama has more followers than him on his most used social media platform, according to The Daily Beast.

Twitter has come under scrutiny by the Trump Administration and Republicans for accusations of bias and quenching conservative speech. But in an email to his employees before the meeting, Dorsey said he believes dialogue is important with all leaders, regardless of their stances.

“Some of you will be very supportive of our meeting [with] the president, and some of you might feel we shouldn’t take this meeting at all. In the end, I believe it’s important to meet heads of state in order to listen, share our principles and our ideas,” Dorsey wrote.

Eugene Craig III

Jamarlin talks to Eugene Craig III, former vice chairman of the Maryland Republican Party, about why he says f*ck MAGA and how the GOP has become the party of power at all costs. They discuss “What about Baltimore,” holding local elected officials accountable and starting a Kanye West PAC.

Ahead of the Tuesday meeting, Trump tweeted his opinion that Twitter didn’t treat him well and that he would have more followers “if Twitter wasn’t playing their political games,” PBS NewsHour reported.

However, afterwards Trump seemed to change his tone, tweeting he and Dorsey had a “great meeting” and he looked “forward to keeping an open dialogue!”

Despite his self-proclamation that he is better at Twitter than Obama, it seems Trump has a more accurate assessment of their respective Twitter crowds than he did of their inaugurations. Upon learning of Trump’s latest frustration, Twitter users chimed in and hilarity ensued.
