Nelson Mandela’s former wife believes that the ruling African National Congress needed new leaders, and that Zuma should step down to limit the damage that is being done to the ANC.

Former leader of labour union Cosatu, Zwelinzima Vavi, has been a constant thorn in Zuma’s side, calling for the president to step down in favour of another leader for the benefit of the country.
Former political prisoner and anti-apartheid activist Ahmed Kathrada penned an open letter to President Jacob Zuma this year in which the former Robben Island prisoner, who was imprisoned with good friend Nelson Mandela, asked for his resignation according to the will of the people.

Holomisa is a member of parliament in South Africa and president of the United Democratic Movement, a smaller party in the South African political sphere. He spoke in parliament at the beginning of the year, asking the president to resign with dignity.
