Kenya Urged to Remain Neutral in South Sudan Conflict

According to the Kenya Citizen, the country’s foreign ministry diplomats are advising a neutral response to the South Sudan conflict. On grounds of being viewed as a credible mediator and protecting displaced refugees, the government has warned citizens to expect a continued crisis.

“South Sudan remains a key trading partner for Kenya providing an important market for local goods and services. Many Kenya companies including main banks and individuals have heavily invested in the neighboring country. Taking part in the Kiir-Machar conflict could seriously jeopardize this investments and future trade relations,” Kenya Citizen TV reported.
