Seven hundred officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army have been deployed on a peacekeeping mission to Liberia as part of the country’s contribution to the United Nations peace mission in Liberia.
Addressing the troops at their pre-deployment graduation ceremony from the Nigerian Army Peacekeeping Centre, Jaji North West Nigeria on Friday, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Ahmed Jibrin advised the soldiers to protect Nigeria’s image abroad by abiding by the rules of engagement on peacekeeping.
