Kweighbaye Kotee, founder and chief executive of Bushwick Film Festival, premiered in our first episode of ‘How To Africa’. After years of successfully managing and creating a vibrant brand for the festival she shared tips on how to run events that attract big sponsorship and build a memorable brand.
“First you have to ask yourself what’s the voice of your brand? What message are you trying to relay to your audience? you have to be very clear on that message in order to ensure your message has an impact,” Kotee said.
“Another thing you have to do is ensure that voice is aligned along all (social media) platforms …The person that you should have running you social media should really know and understand the brand.”
