Salah: I Am Enjoying Playing At Fiorentina

Egyptian striker Mohamed Salah has revealed that he is thoroughly enjoying his time at Serie A club Fiorentina.

Salah is currently on loan at the Viola from English Premier League club Chelsea, and since his arrival in January, he has been one of the stand-out performers for the side from Florence.

The 22-year-old has been doing so well, that former striker and current Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella is hoping that the Egyptian will remain at the Stadio Artemio Franchi going forward, saying on numerous occasions that he would like Salah to be at the club next season.

This will be for Chelsea and Fiorentina to decide, but for Salah’s part, he admits to enjoying his time thus far at the Florence side.

“Fiorentina were strong even before my arrival. Honestly, I’m enjoying being here and my objective is to reach the final game with the team,” Salah said to the Italian press, according NileSport.

“Chelsea gave me the opportunity to reach that level. I still have one month to make a decision about my future.”

Salah has contributed to the club reaching the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and Europa League, and on Wednesday Fiorentina take on Juventus in Serie A action.

Salah will be hoping to replicate his excellent form against the current champions of Italy, displayed in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final, in which he scored a brace to help his side defeat the Bianconeri at the Juventus Stadium, ending their 47-game unbeaten home run.

The Viola have been knocked out of the Coppa Italia, but they are still involved in the Europa League, where they will face Sevilla in the semi-final in May.
