Demba Ba Included In Senegal Squad For Ghana Match

New Lions of Teranga coach Aliou Cisse has named an attack-minded collective for the fixture against the Black Stars this week.

The returning Demba Ba is the key name in Aliou Cisse’s 28-strong Senegal squad for the Teranga Lions’ international friendly against Ghana this week.

The two West African heavyweights meet at the Stade Oceane in Le Havre on Saturday evening.

It was only just over two months since the two sides met during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. Senegal recorded a 2-1 victory in Mongomo to kick-off Group C, but it was ultimately the Black Stars who topped the pool and who went on to reach the final.

The Lions of Teranga, by contrast, draw with South Africa in their second match before being defeated by Algeria in Malabo in the group decider.

Senegal parted ways with Alain Giresse after the tournament, and while the French coach has taken the reigns of neighbours Mali, the Teranga Lions turned to Cisse.
