Nigeria’s Ahmed Musa Does Not Want To Leave CSKA Moscow

Nigerian talent Ahmed Musa has been open about his feeling about his Russian club CSKA Moscow, and the fact that he is happy to continue playing for the side and strive towards team glory.

The Super Eagles speedster has been a crucial element of his club’s attacking capabilities at the Arena Khimki, and due to his outstanding performances in Russia, the rumour mill has been churning out news about a number of clubs who have apparently shown interest in the Nigerian.

Clubs in the English Premier League have been the most mentioned amongst potential suitors that would be keen to capture the services of the 22-year-old. Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Liverpool have all been included in such reports involving the Nigerian.

Addressing the possibility of leaving his current club, Musa spoke to bobsoccer.ru and clarified his personal view on his immediate future.

“I am very happy with CSKA. Believe me, it’s not just words. I feel comfortable here very much. I do not want any change and do not plan to,” the Nigerian international said.

“I feel perfect (in Moscow), there are many beautiful and interesting places. Perhaps especially highlighted in the red area and its surroundings,” Musa added.

The former VVV Venlo player revealed that he plays for the glory of the team, but as a striker he wishes to get his name on the score sheet as often as possible.

“I will try to score the most. It is a great honor. Of course, the most important is the result, which affects the team. At the same time, like any footballer I want to score, and I am no exception.”

“I think now I feel very comfortable in the role of a central striker. Serious work in training does not go in vain,” he concluded.
