AB de Villiers struck the fastest one-day international 150 as South Africa romped to a massive 257-run win over the West Indies in their World Cup match at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.

De Villiers blitzed his way to a majestic 162 not out off just 66 balls as South Africa posted 408-5 after winning the toss and electing to bat.

Imran Tahir then claimed career-best figures of 5-45, his first five-wicket haul in ODI cricket, as the West Indies folded to 151 all out off 33.1 overs with only Jason Holder, with 56, putting up much of a fight.
