The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has given reasons why the federation is yet to renew Stephen Keshi’s contract as Super Eagles Head Coach.
He said in Abuja on Monday that the federation wants not only to be thorough, but avoid needless litigation between the parties.
Though Amaju did not give detail, it appears that the federation is not finding it easy getting Keshi to agree to work with its proposed technical working group; a condition the federation has several times voiced its support in the new dispensation.
“We have done everything concerning Keshi’s contract, the only reason it stayed this long is because we don’t want litigations, we have to look at everything that will protect him and also protect the federation. What we want is the best for the country and that is just what we have done. After looking at the contract and agree to sign it then we are ready to roll.”
