West Ham United have been buoyed by the news that Senegal striker Diafra Sakho will be fit for Saturday’s FA Cup fifth-round clash with West Bromwich Albion.

But target man forward Andy Carroll will sit out the clash after picking up a knee injury in the goalless draw with Southampton in midweek.

Sakho’s position in the side had been in doubt following the fine handed down by FIFA for West Ham’s breaching of the regulations.
