Vahid Monadjem, CEO of Nomanini recently sat down with AFKInsider to discuss the creation and future plans for his company’s hardware device, which is used for various cash transactions. Targeting areas in Africa where cellphone connectivity and electricity may be an issue, in part one of our interview Monadjem expands on Nomanini’s transformation and disrupting informal markets.

“I think what’s unique about the markets that we serve are they’re very fragmented. Our aspiration to build a globally applicable platform means that we have to reach across multiple countries to be sure that we’re not just creating a product that works in South Africa,” Monadjem said.
