Tunisians Lose Faith In Government’s Job Creation Plan

Tunisians Lose Faith In Government’s Job Creation Plan

Thursday February 5, Tunisia’s parliament officially approved the new government consisting of Islamists and secularists. However, Tunisia’s poor, educated and unemployed citizens are not optimistic that the government is doing all it can to promote job creation, according to CCTV Africa. Prices of goods and services are soaring — and based on the work of previous governments, citizens say they see no happy end in sight.

“The poor have been crushed. As you see, everything is expensive. A salad costs five dinas, about two euros.  The daily wage of a man is 10 dinars, so what should we do? Should we eat salad all week,” jeweler Abderraouf Romdhani asked CCTV Africa.
