African Entrepreneurs Cash In On Growing Consumer Demand 

A crop of new generation entrepreneurs are reaping from the increasing consumer demand across the continent as driven by a growing middle class. CCTV Africa looks at a number of business ventures that have taken advantage of this demand to position their products on b on local and international markets.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts that Africa’s gross domestic product could expand by 50 percent to $3.7 trillion by 2019, boosted by an emerging middle class and increased household demand.

Middle-class households in 11 leading economies in the region are also seen expanding to about 40 million by 2030, with the biggest growth seen in Nigeria, the continent’s largest economy, according to a report by Standard Bank.
