Ghana Receives Financial Assistance Ahead Of 2015 AFCON

Leading Ghanian insurance company Glico has presented a 300,000 cedis (around $93,750) package to the national football team to aid its preparations for the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations (2015 AFCON) tournament.

The package will cover the players and the technical team before, during and after the tournament which begins Jan 17 and ends Feb 8 in Equatorial Guinea, Xinhua reports.

Presenting the donation to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Edward Fokuo Kyei, the managing director of Glico said sports is one of the core Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the company because it believes sports defines and unifies the nation.
