South African comedian Trevor Noah is the newest contributor on the late-night satirical U.S. TV show, “The Daily Show,” where he gave a devastating — but funny — indictment of how race relations are going in the U.S., according to a report on AddictingInfo.

Show host Jon Stewart invited Noah to give Americans an outsider’s view of American racism compared to South African racism.

Noah admitted he was hesitant to come to a country with a reputation as bad as America’s.

“Yeah, I just flew in and boy are my arms tired,” Noah said, raising his hands in a hands-up, don’t-shoot gesture. “No, seriously. I’ve been holding my arms like this since I got here.”

“Daily Show” viewers were instantly impressed with Noah’s cutting social commentary and deadpan delivery, according to news.com.au. Fans loved his take-down of inequality and hypocrisy in the West.

Stewart and Noah ended the segment by playing a guessing game of “Spot the Africa,” featuring side-by-side views of Africa versus the U.S.

Noah was born to a black South African mother and white Swiss-German father in 1984 during apartheid, when mixed-race marriages were illegal, according to eonline.
He was raised in Soweto, the U.K. newspaper TheSundayTimes reports.

Describing itself as a fake news program, “The Daily Show” has won 18 prime time Emmy Awards.
