Angola Textile Factory Refurbishment Project to Cost $1 Billion

Angola is spending US$1 billion on refurbishing three textile factories that will provide jobs to 2,700 people, the managing director of the Angolan subsidiary of Japan’s Marubeni group said recently.

Speaking to the Angolan media, Koichi Nagashima said that the Textang II factory, which will cost US$270 million to refurbish, would start operating with two months and have an initial production capacity of 9 million metres of fabric per year.
