President John Mahama and his counterpart from Togo, President Faure Gnassingbe, will today Monday, November 3 inaugurate a joint Ghana-Togo border post at Noefe in the Volta Region.

This is an initiative by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to reduce the frustrations at the borders and facilitate trade between member states.

This border post will collapse the two separate posts in Ghana’s territory and the other in a Togolese territory.

Citi News’ Richard Mensah, who is currently at Noefe, reported that the inauguration will “have Ghanaian and Togolese Immigration officials at the same post within the same office so that it facilitate easy transaction.”
