Thousands of people in Sierra Leone are breaking Ebola quarantines to go in search of food because food deliveries are not reaching them, the Associated Press reports.

In Liberia, the U.N. World Food Program has intensified food distribution to try and limit the movement of people and curb the spread of Ebola, according to a Reuters video.

Large areas of Sierra Leone have been sealed off people have been ordered to stay in
their homes to prevent the spread of Ebola, but conditions are poor and food is scarce, according to reports.

There are many “nooks and crannies” in the Sierra Leone that aren’t being reached by food, Jeanne Kamara of Christian Aid in Sierra Leone told the Associated Press. Her agency and others like it fall under the umbrella of the Disasters Emergency Committee. They are trying to fill the gaps.
