How Mauritius’ Vallee Des Couleurs Pulls In Tourists

“Here we try to keep the nature as it is. We don’t want to improve the environment and have something very [luxurious]. We want something very simple so when people come here they discover the environment as it is — the nature as it is,” Jean Mee Sandian, marketing manager of La Vallee Des Couleurs told CCTV Africa.

The tourism attraction, according to a recent video report, has lured close to one million visitors last year alone. La Vallee Des Couleurs employees say people are drawn to this historical site in addition to the island’s other beaches because of its unique formation — the result of volcanic activity. CCTV Africa also noted that tourists look forward to taking part in the park’s adventurous zipline offering.
