Peter Chege, one of the pioneers of hydroponic farming in  Kenya, speaks to CCTV Africa on how he has managed to introduced the technology to over 400 farmers in Kenya and 20 in Uganda as this new method of farming catches on due to its high yields that require very little space.

The concept of Hydroponic farming that utilized 80 less water than conventional soil farming was originally from Australia is not being taunted as  the savior of African farmers who have struggled to feed a growing population amid changing weather conditions  that have caused severe drought and famine on the continent.
