#BringBackOurGirls: President Goodluck Jonathan Says Rescue Will Happen

In July it was reported that 63 kidnapped girls escaped from the clutch of extremist group Boko Haram. Since then — and shortly after the month of April when they were kidnapped — information surrounded their whereabouts and status have died down. CCTV Africa reported that at the UN General Assembly Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan said he and other countries are still working on an effective campaign that will return the roughly 200 girls to their families.

“I’d like to take this opportunities to thank all of the countries and organizations that expressed solidarity with us — and have continued to support our efforts to free our daughters. Although it has taken over three months since they were abducted. We have never relented to see the, safely free,” President Goodluck Jonathan said.
