There may have been hundreds of unreported ebola deaths in Liberia and the outbreak is going to get worse, a top Liberian health official told CBS News.
Liberia’s capital of Monrovia is an epicenter of the disease but has just two treatment centers.
Heath ministers from 15 countries in the Southern African Development Community met in Johannesburg recently to discuss preventative measures aimed at keeping ebola out, according to an ENCA video.
“We’ve already been screening people using themal scanners,” said Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi, South Africa’s Minister of Health. “Here in South Africa, we’ve already selected hospitals here that we’re busy preparing in case there’s a patient that has brought ebola.”
