“It’s a great enabler,” David Behr, founder of Zimbabwe Online told CCTV Africa about increases in broadband penetration. A recent video report revealed that infrastructural costs to support broadband expansion are too high for the country. In addition, partnerships to support the same cause have been set up, but haven’t flourished.

“I think communications, particularly internet and broadband is a great enabler of any industry, of any business,” Behr continued. “By having more penetration and having faster internet, you actually grow the GDP. That’s what we need to do in Zimbabwe.”
