At least 21 people were reported killed on Wednesday after a bomb tore though a crowded shopping mall that is very popular in the Nigerian capital Abuja, as people rushed to watch the country’s football team, Super Eagles play against Argentina at the ongoing World cup In Brazil.

Police said at the scene of the blast told CCTV Africa they will not be in a hurry to point fingers at the Islamic Militant group Boko Haram that has killed hundreds in similar bomb attacks this year. The militants have increasingly targeted civilians in its bloody five-year insurgency.

This is the third bomb attack in Abuja in a span of three month and has raise public anger against the government of President Goodluck Jonathan over its inability to protect citizens from daily gun and bomb attacks across Africa’s most populous nation.
