Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, CEO of the people powered e-learning platform Fora recently sat down with AFKInsider. Elaborating on the start-up’s inception and his background in online education, in part three of the interview, he talks about revenue models and the acquisition of Bookneto — another online learning platform which he co-founded.
“Don’t set yourself up to be acquired, that’s just the truth. Investors ask about this a lot, so have an answer because they’re not going to let up. In reality, the more your business is built on an acquirer, the lower the value of [which] your business will be acquired at,” Aboyeji said.
“You’re making money for them so you don’t really care. Try and make a business that can stand alone.”
