Rwanda´s Economic Reforms Are Working, International Finance Corp.

Rwanda’s remarkable economic reforms in recent years are helping to encourage investment in infrastructure, agriculture, manufacturing and financial markets, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) said. Speaking at the endorsement of a new Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) for Rwanda, Cheikh Oumar Seydi, IFC’s Director for Eastern and Southern Africa, said the IFC would work with Rwanda’s government and private sector to help create new jobs and opportunities for inclusive growth.

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Rwanda’s economy is expected to grow by 6 percent this year from 4.6 percent in 2013, while inflation will remain contained.
