Rumit Mehta, CEO and founder of global travel agency Immersion Journeys, joins AFKInsider to discuss the impact that his company is making in Africa and African tourism.

Branching off from a background in architecture and first working part-time at a travel firm, Mehta would eventually founded Immersion Journeys, which supports individuals, groups, schools and businesses. In the final part of the interview, Mehta talks about working with U.S. companies, management and special Immersion Journeys experiences.

“You as the owner of the company can’t control many things. You have to have a team on the ground that is going to be your eyes and ears, who are going to control it for you,” Mehta said. “You have to sort of bite your tongue and wait for them to give you the OK that things are getting fixed.”
