We wish we could say it was adrenaline that got these athletes riled up enough to display bad sportsmanship. But that same adrenaline was pumping through the veins of their teammates who managed to keep it together. Here are 10 athletes who have been poor sports.
Randall Simon
As if mascots don’t go through enough sweating in those heavy costumes, one costumed-mascot at a Milwaukee Brewers sausage race got taken down. Randall Simon took a bat and knocked the human-sausage to the ground.
Apparently coaches can be as aggressive as players. When Ohio State Buckeyes coach Woody Hayes punched former Clemson Tiger player Charlie Bauman, the coach immediately lost his job.
During one very awkward performance, Chicago Cubs outfielder Borbon faked being hit in the foot by a pitch during a San Diego Padres game. Which was hard for him to pass off, seeing as the ball landed several feet away from him.

The former NFL linebacker who played for the 49er’s, the Broncos, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Oakland Raiders decided to take out his frustrations in a very juvenile manner during one game, when he spit in the face of J.J. stokes.

Herb Pope

After an NFC Championship Game, Richard Sherman of the Seattle Seahawks went to give opponent Michael Crabtree of the 49er’s a good-game handshake, and Crabtree met that gesture by slapping Sherman in the face.
After he had already gone through a 25-game suspension for acts of violence, Simon had not learned his lesson. The New York Islanders player stomped on the ankle of opponent Jarkko Ruutu of the Pittsburgh Penguins during his first year back on the ice.
