Cape Verde Ratifies Air Accord With Equatorial Guinea

From Asemana

Cape Verde will soon ratify an accord with Equatorial Guinea permitting the mobility of persons and goods between the two countries. The accord, which was approved in the 2010, will go into effect with Resolution nº 101 of May 8, 2014.

The accord applies to the companies indicated by the two countries to operate international air services. The companies will gain the right to fly over the two countries’ respective territories without landing, as well as make non-commercial stopovers and operate passenger and cargo flights.

Aeronautics authorities from either of the two countries may demand that the company designated by the other country be able to demonstrate the capacity to abide by the conditions outlined in the laws and regulations in effect in that country, while airlines will have to present competitive fares and a detailed operational program.
