Ahead of the World Cup in Brazil next month BBC’s Jao Fellet travelled around South Africa, the tournament’s last host, to get people’s views on the aftermath of the soccer frenzy that engulfed the whole continent in 2010.

While most South Africans seem pleased with what they see as the legacy left from hosting the 2010 World Cup – such as improvements in transportation infrastructure – some believe the overall costs are still hurting taxpayers.

“We’re still paying for it. We’ve got e-tolls that we’ve got to pay for. So it’s still itching us as taxpayers in short,” said one of the interviwees.
