Chairman and founder of the Africa Angels Network, Pule Taukobong recently sat down with AFKInsider and shared his journey to building an angel investment fund. In part two of the interview, Taukobong details risk analysis, his five key factors of investment and what he looks for in start-ups which are seeking funding.
“When it comes to scouting businesses…I believe in people. I’ve got to know and believe that the entrepreneurs I’m working with and investing in can do what they say they want to do,” he said.
“You’ve got to put that across that you understand this in-depth, you have the skill-set amongst your team to execute this and you’re going to make it a successful business. That’s very important.”
