Folks in Nigeria are not to happy about recent remarks made by Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe. In fact, Nigeria has summoned Zimbabwe’s envoy due to the remarks.
Mugabe reportedly said last month that Zimbabweans were becoming “like Nigeria” when it came to corruption, reports BBC.
Nigeria called Mugabe’s comments “vitriolic and denigrating,” Nigeria’s state news agency said.
Transparency International named Zimbabwe as more corrupt than Nigeria in its 2013 index. Nigeria ranked 144th out of 175 countries on its Corruption Perceptions Index 2013; Zimbabwe ranked 157th.
