Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius went back on the stand today in the second day of testimony following Monday’s emotional apology to the family of his dead girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

Pistorius shot Steenkamp through his closed bathroom door on Valentine’s Day 2013, and says he is not guilty — he mistook her for an intruder, according to a WorldNewsToday report.

Steenkamp’s mother sat expressionless in the courtroom as Pistorius went on and on about his migraines and how he needs a security guard, the report said.

The defense wants to argue that a reasonable person in the same position as Pistorius
with his disabilities would have more fear than a regular person, according to WorldNewsToday.
