Angels Initiatives Nurtures Young Entrepreneurs In Uganda

Business startup in Uganda are benefiting from  an incubation platform in the country’s capital Kampala. Angels Initiatives is a business hub in Uganda where ideas from upcoming young entrepreneurs are being nurtured. Students are also mentored and taught leadership and management skills by professionals by local corporate world leaders.

The Kampala based initiative looks for market-driven businesses and scalable social impact models that solve identified social problems in areas of technology, communication, health, education, financial inclusion and housing, to name but a few.

CEO George Bakka told Voice Of America’s Africa 54 “At Angels Initiatives our work is about supporting emerging entrepreneurs in Africa. What we do is provide them capital, business advisory services and office work spaces. Over the last one year we have had about 127 small businesses which come start from here and then move out when they have grown bigger.”
