From Asemana

The three municipalities on the island of Santo Antão, Cape Verde – Ribeira Grande, Paúl and Porto Novo – are working together to present an application to UNESCO for the island to be named a World Natural Heritage Site.

Various manifestations of support for the initiative, which is aimed at seeing Santo Antão declared a World Natural Heritage Site, are making their way through social networks.
