Angola, CAR Sign Finance, Bilateral Cooperation Agreements

Angola and the Central African Republic (CAR) Wednesday in Luanda signed three legal instruments, under the two day visit of CAR interim president Catherine Samba-Panza to Angola.

The two countries signed the General Memorandum of Understanding, protocols on the Indicative Cooperation Programme and Financial Assistance.

Signed the documents, at presidential palace, the Angolan Foreign Affairs minister Georges Rebelo Chikoti and his counterpart Gaston Makouzangba in representation of his country.

The financial protocol consists of donation worth USD 10 million that the Republic of Angola pledges to grant CAR, said to the press the Director for Africa, Middle East and International Organisations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Joaquim do Espírito Santo.

According to him, the amount will ensure the functioning of the government and address issues related to existing humanitarian crisis.
