Syrians Nabbed In Cabo Verde Trying To Travel To Europe With Fake Passports

Asemana reports that once again a group of Syrians have tried to use fake passports in Cabo Verde. This time, six Syrian citizens were retained at Nelson Mandela International Airport in Praia for possessing false passports while trying to fly to Europe.

Four Syrians, who had false passports issued in Afghanistan, traveled from Syria via Namibia and Morocco before arriving in Praia. Another two Syrians were caught with counterfeit Italian passports trying get a flight to Europe.

All were returned to the countries from which they had taken their last flight prior to arriving in Praia, Cabo  Verde.
