China, Kenya Celebrate 50 Years of Partnerships & Business Ties

In recent NTV Kenya report, the 50-year political and business cooperation between Kenya and China was spotlighted. In a jubilee celebration which took place December 13, leaders agreed that mutually beneficially business relations have solidified the bond between the two nations. According to the report, Kenya and China have recommitted to implementing deals that are long-lasting and hopefully larger in scale.

“Over the past half century, China and Kenya relations have withstood the test of the changing international tides. Our bilateral relations have closely followed the course of mutual respect and common development,” Liu Guangyaun, Chinese ambassador to Kenya said.

“We will embrace partnerships based on mutual respect and win-win scenarios,” Kenya president Uhuru Kenyatta added.

The low cost of doing business — and the development project in which China sponsors 200 Kenyan students per year to study in China — NTV Kenya says are foundations of the Kenya-China bilateral relationship.
