Each year Forbes magazine names its Africa Person of the Year. This year, the 2013 Africa Person of the Year was awarded to Nigerian Agriculture Minister Akinwumi Adesina as its, reports Ghana Business News.
According to Forbes, who made the announcement earlier this week, Adesina won the prize for his bold reforms in Nigeria’s agriculture sector.
Adesina, said the magazine, is responsible for empowering more than six million farmers across Nigeria to embrace agriculture as a business.
