China has stolen sensitive U.S. defense technology and conducted human testing to develop super soldiers with biologically enhanced capabilities in its quest for world domination, the top U.S. spy chief wrote in a Dec. 3 Wall Street Journal op-ed.

As U.S. director of national intelligence, John Ratcliffe is the boss of the intelligence community — a coalition of 17 agencies and organizations. He oversees and directs the intelligence budget and advises the president, National Security Council and Homeland Security Council.

Ratcliffe’s office has become increasingly politicized under President Donald Trump, US News reported. The dramatic language used by the outgoing director of national intelligence represents a rare public statement from the DNI.

U.S. intelligence shows that China has conducted human testing on members of the People’s Liberation Army in hopes of developing soldiers with biologically enhanced capabilities, according to Ratliffe. “There are no ethical boundaries to Beijing’s pursuit of power.”

“The People’s Republic of China poses the greatest threat to America today, and the greatest threat to democracy and freedom world-wide since World War II,” Ratcliffe wrote. “The intelligence is clear: Beijing intends to dominate the U.S. and the rest of the planet economically, militarily and technologically.”

Twitter users had a lot of fun with the idea of China stealing ideas from Hollywood movies such as “Captain America,” “Bloodshot” and “Universal Soldier” to create “super soldiers”.

Listen to GHOGH with Jamarlin Martin | Episode 73: Jamarlin Martin Jamarlin makes the case for why this is a multi-factor rebellion vs. just protests about George Floyd. He discusses the Democratic Party’s sneaky relationship with the police in cities and states under Dem control, and why Joe Biden is a cop and the Steve Jobs of mass incarceration.

“It was only a matter of time until Universal Soldier became a thing,” one person posted.

“Captain Amer——whoops I mean Captain China is really happening!!” another said.

“Eh, we’ve already got super soldiers. They’re called @USMC,” @hyperbolergic tweeted in a nod to the Marine Corps.

Others on Twitter were not amused by the national intelligence director’s warmongering and fear tactics, expressing a general distrust of U.S. intelligence. “US intelligence also told us that Saddam had WMDs in 2003 and roped in whole coalition of soldiers to die along with their own in a crusade for oil,” one person tweeted.

Trump has also made the claim that there were no weapons of mass destruction, contrary to what the intelligence community before the U.S. attacked Iraq in 2003. In 2016, the outgoing president said, “They lied. They said there were weapons of mass destruction; there were none.”

In 2019, two U.S. scholars examined China’s ambitions to apply biotechnology in the battlefield, including signs that China was interested in using gene-editing technology to enhance human — and perhaps soldier — performance, NBC News reported.

The scholars cited the gene-editing tool CRISPR, which has been used to treat genetic diseases and modify plants. Western scientists consider it unethical to manipulate genes to boost the performance of healthy people.

The scholars quoted a 2015 article in a military newspaper that said, “Chinese military scientists and strategists have consistently emphasized that biotechnology could become a ‘new strategic commanding heights of the future Revolution in Military Affairs.'”

Ratcliffe wants Americans to recognize what he called “our once-in-a-generation challenge,” saying we defeated fascism and brought down the Iron Curtain.

“This generation will be judged by its response to China’s effort to reshape the world in its own image and replace America as the dominant superpower<‘ Ratcliffe wrote.
